COLLABORATING ARTISTS BIOGRAPHIES
|
BRUCE MACK Artistic Director/Musical Conductor Bruce Mack has combined a busy performing and teaching career. Besides leading his own musical groups, Bruce has performed with many of Chicagos popular bands including the John Burnett Orchestra, Chicago Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, and the Eddie Barrett Big Band. His diverse playing career has also included performances at Orchestra Hall as well as Marriotts Lincolnshire Theatre. Bruce has performed with some of the great legends of jazz including Doc Severinsen, Bill Watrous, Eddie Daniels, Clark Terry, and Louie Bellson to name a few. His teaching career has included directing all types of musical groups including jazz, concert and marching bands, and orchestras for several musicals. He is professor emeritus at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL and maintains an active schedule as a musician and director. |

SHEILA PEPPLE (Vocalist) Sheila Pepple is an established professional singer in the Chicago area. Her talents include a rich background in a variety of musical styles that include theater, gospel, jazz, rock & roll, disco, funk, and rhythm & blues. She has been the front line singer in some of Chicago's top theatrical and musical groups. These include Jackie Taylor's Black Ensemble Theater, Funkdujour, Hits List, DaFellas Jazz Ensemble, Ajax Music Mania, 7-Deez, and the College of Lake County Jazz Ensemble. Sheila is also a respected health professional with a master's degree in physical therapy.

DARREN STEPHENS (Actor/Narrator) Darren Stephens has been a show host and emcee for variety shows, corporations, and non-profits for many years and The Darren Stephens Show, featuring music and comedy, has appeared on local stages as well. Darren has performed with Chicago Shakespeare Theater in The People vs. Friar Laurence, The Man Who Killed Romeo and Juliet, in the role of Prince/Paris, worked with the Noble Fool Theater Company in Vikings--A Musical in Two Axe, their Christmas show, Roasting Chestnuts, and in Flanagan's Wake as Father. Other favorite roles include Jack Worthing in The importance of Being Earnest, Pish Tush in The Mikado, Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing at Monomoy Theater on Cape Cod, and Darren "2B" Famous in a musical he co-wrote called Here Come The Famous Brothers, which ran for five months at the Royal George Theater Center. His singing group, The Famous Brothers, has performed comic three-part bluegrass harmony around the Chicago area at venues such as the LakeShore Theater Schuba's and The Beat Kitchen. Darren has an M.F.A. in Acting from Ohio University. |
